About 힘센 

The men's skincare brand himssan focuses on the simplicity of skincare for the everyday person. This Korea based brand focuses on giving men a quick and easy solution to their everyday skincare needs. From creams to face wash, these items are made with simplicity in mind, no extra steps or ingredients, just what you need in your daily routine. Hand-crafted and made in Korea this luxury skincare is here to keep your skin in its best shape.


Target audience 
This luxury skincare brand has a price range of $30-80 per item and is catered towards working men looking for a skincare option. Ideally this person is working, traveling, or busy in their everyday life, where at the end of the day they just need a face wash or cream to get the job done well. The simple packaging makes this idea as it is not overwhelming and sleek

 Behind the Process 
When creating 힘센, I initially had other names that would relate to masculinity to convey this men's skincare brand before landing on what we now know as 힘센. 힘센 in Korean means strong and even when we shorten it down to "him" it means strength! I thought it was interesting to relate him to strength when involving skincare as we are trying to make it more masculine and stand out. Having this also allowed me to broaden the use of type and letter forms by introducing the Korean alphabet into my designs to challenge myself more.

Packaging Design



Dieline Process 
When creating the brand, the packaging was the most important aspect of the whole process for this assignment. Focusing on clean and luxurious skincare I wanted to make sure that all the packaging was cohesive and had strong elements tied to the brand identity. Keeping color schemes and text was an important part of creating this skincare brand.
